High Line Canal 5K: May 2019

Supporting South Suburban Parks and Recreation

Greater Denver has been our home for 21 years. We've grown and succeeded because of the people of the central Front Range. And we believe it’s important to give back to the communities that have supported us.

We like to lead active lives while exploring the great outdoors of Colorado, and we enjoy supporting our neighbors in runs, rides, and other outdoor events through our employee volunteers. Greenspaces like South Suburban parks contribute to our quality of life by offering recreational services and programs to Denver residents.

High Line Canal 5K

Several Plumbline employees and their families recently ran the 38th Annual High Line Canal 5K. On a mild May morning, they ran waterside along the High Line’s winding trail, then enjoyed a pancake breakfast.

The race marks the 12th year that Plumbline has sponsored the South Suburban Parks and Recreation (SSPR) race series. Proceeds from the events support SSPR's Community Recreation Scholarship program, which provides financial assistance to those unable to afford its recreation programs.

Plumbline was founded in Douglas County in 1998, and we’re proud to call Colorado our home. We believe in giving back to our community and upholding the core values of our company. Learn more about our community involvement here.

For many years, Plumbline Services has had a great relationship with the South Suburban Parks and Recreation Department. SSRP provides parks and recreation services to more than 155,000 residents in the Southeast area of Metro Denver. The South Suburban Parks and Recreation provide's recreation centers, entertainment centers, ice arenas, golf courses, miniature golf courses, athletic fields and so much more!

Plumbline Services is honored to work with the SSPR to help provide the residents of the South Suburban Parks and Recreation district with ways to stay active. Our relationship focuses on the youth baseball program and the district’s race series. You will find our logo on the back of the baseball jerseys and race shirts, and our banners are at various baseball fields.

Most recently, Plumbline hosted a booth at the Highline Canal 5K/10K race. They had over 700 individuals participate in the races, with another 100 plus family and friends cheering on the racers. It was a great morning!

South Suburban Parks & Recreation District: May 2017

“The mission of the South Suburban Parks and Recreation District is to foster healthy living through stewardship of the environment, parks, trails and open space and by providing recreational services and programs"- https://www.ssprd.org/About-Us

Last month, Plumbline Services continued sponsoring the South Suburban Parks and Recreation District. The South Suburban Park and Recreation District gives children and families an opportunity to stay active, enjoy the outdoors and spend time with each other!

With our sponsorship, South Suburban Parks and Recreation provides Plumbline with many opportunities to reach the community. We sponsor booths at all races and at the baseball picture day. Most recently, we had a booth at the May High Line Canal 5K/10K. Our team enjoyed interacting with the community, handing out promotional items and cheering on the racers!

The race had over 500 individuals from the community take part in either the 5K or the 10K, some even did both! This year’s race was another success, and we were honored to be a part of it once again!
