Need a Standby Generator? We Have a Specialist for That.

Price: How much does it cost to install a generator?

The only way we can give you an accurate price is through a free in-home estimate. However, we can say that the price varies based on these factors:

  • How much power you need: Generators are sized in kilowatts (kW). The more appliances you want to keep powered during an outage, the more kWs the generator needs, which increases the price.
  • Necessary meter or tank upgrades: To power your generator, it may also be necessary to upgrade your natural gas meter or liquid propane tank.
  • Do you want remote updates?: With the Mobile Link device, you can know the status of your generator anywhere, anytime, using your computer, tablet, or smartphone.
  • Pulling permits: We are required to pull permits, which is an additional fee that varies depending on the municipality you live in.
  • Want to save 15% on your repair?: Get up to 15% off repairs and other benefits by becoming a VIP Plan member.
  • In-home estimates are free!

Customer Testimonial

"Professional. Fast. Courteous. Thorough."

We used Plumbline to replace completely our heating and air-conditioning systems. They aren't cheap, but they are very professional, and we had a large team show up to complete the job on schedule. We even sealed the innards of our 30-year-old air-distribution system, and that made a HUGE difference in airflow. They helped balance the heat and cooling throughout all three stories of the home, we got right with the building inspectors and this was a great team to work with. I will continue to go to Plumbline for not just my HVAC needs—they are now my go-to folks for electrical and hot-water heating when those times come. My feeling is this is the team that plumbing, heating, cooling, electrical experts hope to work for. Professional. Fast. Courteous. Thorough.
