Our Process for Clearing Drains

First, we will use a professional auger (also called a drain snake or rooter) to unclog the drain. If the issue persists, we can perform a video camera drain line inspection for further inspection and diagnosis of the problem.

For tough clogs, like grease buildup, we can use a high-pressure water-jetter. Using highly pressurized water, we blast a powerful and safe cleaning solution through the affected pipe, removing all solids and residue, and leaving you with a clear and clean drain and plumbing lines.

If the initial video camera inspection discovered that the drain is damaged, we offer you a same-day sewer line repair/replacement service

How It Works

How much does it cost to unclog a drain?

While we offer our standard drain cleaning services for less than $99, the price of sewer and drain cleaning can vary based on these factors:

  • The severity of the clog

A simple clog can be cleared with an auger (drain snake), which is less expensive than using a mini water-jetter (only needed to clean a drain, not necessarily clear it).

  • Ease of access

If the tech has to pull a toilet or go through a crawl space to clear the drain, the cost increases.

  • Location of the clog

The farther down the clog, the more expensive it gets to unclog it. In general, a clog in the main sewer line is more expensive to remove than a clog in a secondary line. That’s because a main sewer line clog is farther down in the piping system and affects more than one fixture.

  • Tools required for the job

The severity and location of a clog as well as the pipe conditions determine which of the following 3 tools your plumber will need to use:

  • Any additional labor

If your project requires other plumbing work and labor, you’ll be responsible for the cost of additional materials and labor.

Some examples of additional labor include:

    • Pipe relining
    • Pipe replacement
    • Fixture replacements
