The holiday season is upon us and Plumbline Services was lucky enough to celebrate the Castle Rock “Lighting of the Star” once again. While this year was one of the coldest yet, we still had a great time celebrating the official start of the Holiday season.
This event can be dated back to 1936 and each year gets a little bit bigger. Each year there are countless ways to entertain everyone in the family; ice skating, live music, hot chocolate, a storefront decorating contest, nonprofit booths and most importantly Santa always makes sure to make an appearance! The night is concluded with the ceremonial first “Lighting of the Star” and fireworks.
As some of you may already know, Plumbline Services began just over 20 years ago in Castle Rock, Colorado. Our relationship with Castle Rock is extremely important to us and we are happy to continue to support the community that has supported us from the beginning. Plumbline Services has been participating in the “Lighting of the Star” for many years.
It has always been a favorite event for many employees. It gives us the chance to interact with current clients, potential clients and the community as a whole! We are grateful to have the opportunity to kick off the holiday season each year.

The holiday season can be extremely stressful for many people, so it’s nice when there is something that we can all enjoy without having to worry about a thing! For us, that is the Castle Rock Starlighting. We love being a part of this fun event that kicks off the holiday season. Not only is this event meant to spark the holiday spirit, but also to show off the spirit of volunteering, generosity and love!
Plumbline Services continued its tradition of hosting a booth at the annual Castle Rock Starlighting. This event is a part of Plumbline’s partnership with the Castle Rock Chamber of Commerce. The Starlighting is the town of Castle Rock’s way of celebrating the beginning of the holiday season. This year was Castle Rock’s 81st annual Starlighting, the event has been enjoyed by the residents of Castle Rock and neighboring communities since 1936.
The afternoon was filled with activities for both children and adults. There was live entertainment, an outdoor ice rink, free food, and Santa was there to visit with all of the children! The event concluded with the ceremonial first “Lighting of the Star” of the season.
The Castle Rock Starlighting is many Plumbline employees’ favorite event. This year we had more team members come than any year in the past. We passed out lots of Plumbline goodies and had a great time interacting with our community. Holiday traditions are extremely important to many people, including Plumbline Services.
We can’t wait to continue this tradition next year!

During the month of November, Plumbline Services was able to participate in the 80th Annual Castle Rock Starlighting as a part of their sponsorship with the Castle Rock Chamber of Commerce. This event celebrates the beginning of the holiday season with the first “Lighting of the Star”. The celebration included many activities for individuals and families like ice rinks, live entertainment, nonprofit booths and even a visit from Santa!
Plumbline has been participating in this event for many years and it’s always a great time! We enjoy being able to host a booth and interact with the Castle Rock citizens. This year we handed out grocery bags, candy canes and glow star necklaces to over 1,000 people throughout the day! It was spectacular!!! We cannot wait until next year!
